Okay, let’s be real – dry shampoo is not a want but a NEED! Over the past few years, I have been working on training my hair so it only is washed every 3-4 days. One MAJOR key factor with that is dry shampoo. Because let’s be honest… the grease is REAL girlfriend lol. I have tested so many different products (drugstore & high end) and have it narrowed down to my top 4 that I continuously re-purchase time and time again.
I have shared these products time and time again over on my Instagram and thought it was about time to make a post dedicated to my secret weapons.
When thinking about this topic, I broke it into 4 categories – best smelling, best clean feeling, best on the go, best drugstore option. I can’t wait to share these with you! Anyway – let’s get into it! XOXO
Best Smelling Dry Shampoo:
When I say this dry shampoo smells amazing… I really mean it! This stuff seriously smells so so so good. It has argan oil in it and is mineral-infused to give you that all-around clean feel while leaving your hair smelling amazing. The minerals that are infused in this leave your hair super soft too which is always a plus on day 3 or 4 hair!
It is a bit on the pricy side at $34 a bottle BUT it is worth every penny if the scent is important to you in a dry shampoo. The good news is a little goes a long way so it will last you a good amount of time to make our investment worth it.
Best Clean Feeling Dry Shampoo:
Okay guys, this one is seriously one of my FAVES! This dry shampoo gives you that fresh, clean, just-washed feel and look. The key to this one is applying it right before bed. Sounds weird I know but TRUST ME!! You will thank me later π LOL but seriously this is by far one of the best dry shampoos out there to use in between washes.
If you are someone who has a sensitivity to smells, this one can be a tad overbearing at times since the scent is so strong. I find that applying this at night before bed helps to dull the scent so it isn’t bad when you wake up. This one is also a little spendy but comes in a couple of different size options. For the normal size, this one will run you $26 but again, lasts a while since you only need a little to do the job!
Best On The Go Dry Shampoo:
If you know Billie, you know they are known for their razors! Little did I know, they also had this hidden gem that is INCREDIBLE! This dry shampoo is a powder consistency that you basically dump out onto your hair to absorb unwanted oils. It comes in two different colors, light/blonde (pink cap) and dark/brunette (red cap).
I always have this on hand because it is great to use in the morning prior to styling. This is my secret weapon for getting to day 5, 6, or even 7 hair (gross, kinda, but I bet you can relate :))! The best part is this is only $14 and lasts MONTHS! I love this stuff and highly recommend it!
Best Drugstore Dry Shampoo:
I was one of those girls who didn’t know what dry shampoo was for the longest time… I remember in high school a girl in my class was talking about dry shampoo and I had no clue lol. Let’s just say – I was MISSING out! This dry shampoo was the first one I ever used and it still, to this day, is one of my favorites.
Batiste dry shampoo comes in a wide variety of scent options and also has a brunette version to help blend better with darker hair. I even have Josh hooked on the tropical scent of this for camping or ice fishing trips! Since this is available from the drugstore, this one is the most cost-efficient option coming in at $7 per can. Overall, this one is a great option that doesn’t break the bank!
